Local advice, from someone who knows the area
We're not a big-city firm that happens to have your postcode in a drop-down menu. Squire Financial is based right here in Hobart's northern suburbs, and it's where we do the bulk of our work — with local families planning for retirement, and with the small business owners who keep the area ticking.
The City of Glenorchy sits just a few kilometres north of the Hobart CBD, and it's a genuine mix: established family suburbs, busy shopping strips, and a strong community of tradies, traders and small operators. We understand the people here because we're part of the same community — and that means advice that fits real local life, not a template.
In fact, it's personal. Squire Financial's founder, Adam French, has called Moonah home since 2009 — his kids have grown up here, go to school locally, and play soccer for the Glenorchy Knights. This isn't an area we service from a distance; it's home.
The northern suburbs we serve
We work with families and business owners right across the northern suburbs, including:
- Glenorchy — the commercial and civic heart of the northern suburbs. Whether you're growing a household or a business near Main Road, we help you plan ahead with confidence.
- Moonah — one of Hobart's most vibrant, multicultural pockets, packed with cafés, specialty grocers and small creative businesses. If you're self-employed here, we help you pay yourself properly and build wealth beyond the business.
- Lutana — an established, tight-knit residential area where many locals have lived for decades. Exactly the kind of steady, long-term planning we specialise in.
- Montrose — a relaxed foreshore suburb on the Derwent, popular with families and those easing towards retirement. We help you make the most of what you've built.
- Rosetta — a quiet, family-friendly suburb with local schools and a settled community — the sort of household juggling mortgage, super and kids that we love to help.
- Claremont — a growing, family-oriented suburb in the north of the municipality, where planning early makes all the difference to how retirement looks later.
Why a local adviser makes a difference
Financial advice is personal, and it works best face to face, with someone who understands your world. Being local means we're easy to sit down with, we know the pressures on households and small businesses in the area, and we're here for the long haul — not just a single transaction. When your circumstances change, we're a short drive away, not a call-centre queue.
How we help northern-suburbs families and business owners
